Spanish Dowry Chest
A very heavy and solidly built chest with very heavy and fancy fittings. It had been burnt in many places in a house fire. Many sections in the board sides had to be cut away and new wood let in. The whole chest was re-varnished and left very glossy, as the original may have been. With time and wear the surfaces will achieve a better patina.
